THE AUSTRALIAN ELECTION: What about young people?

The Australian Federal Election (the poll for adults that decides which political party will govern Australia for the next three years) will take place on September 14th. Australian citizens aged 18 and over on that date will be eligible to vote.

But what about younger people? The government will make laws for everyone, not just adults.

Should younger people be able to vote? Are younger people interested in politics?

We are considering running a Youth Election on the VX. Do you think this is a good idea?
