Is winning everything?

Chinese diver Wu Minxia has just won a Olympic Gold medal. Now that she has achieved this goal, her family have decided to tell her that during the past year both her grandparents had died and her mother had been battling breast cancer.
Winning was so important they decided that not telling her these things was the right thing to do.
